Australian BioResources install a Diesel Now Fuel Maintenance System

Australian BioResources (ABR) have installed a Diesel Now, model DN-15 (FTI-2.8), to ensure that their stored diesel fuel is always in optimum, clean and safe condition.
ABR’s sophisticated Building Maintenance System depends on reliable, uninterrupted power from their 1 Mw Diesel Generator. The Generator, in turn, depends on clean diesel fuel for the 24/7 operations.
Emergency Preparedness:
Recognising the critical nature of uninterrupted power ABR has installed a 1 Mw Diesel Generator. To compliment this they also invested in a fully automatic Diesel Fuel Maintenance System, provided by Diesel Now P/L, which stands as a testament to the facility’s commitment to preparedness. Programmed to operate at specified intervals, this system ensures that the stored diesel fuel remains clean and dry, ready for use at any moment.
Reliability in Action:
The Diesel Fuel Maintenance System not only focuses on cleanliness but also incorporates alarms and sensors. These features act as vigilant sentinels, alerting operators and managers to any potential issues such as the need for filter changes or the presence of separated water. This proactive approach minimises downtime and guarantees the availability of emergency power, reinforcing the facility’s reliability.
Here is how ABR describe the importance of the overall maintenance system in a recent article.
A Glimpse into a State-of-the-Art Australian BioResources Facility
In the realm of medical research, progress is intricately tied to the quality of facilities and resources available. One such facility pushing the boundaries of excellence is Australian BioResources (ABR), located in regional New South Wales. A beacon of innovation, this facility plays a pivotal role in supporting medical research across a spectrum of health priority areas, including cancer, mental illness, arthritis, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
At the heart of ABR’s success is its commitment to maintaining a high-quality, secure environment for genetically modified mice colonies—the lifeblood of modern medical research. The facility boasts a state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to house an ever-increasing number and variety of mouse stains.
Secure and Sustainable:
ABR’s facility prioritises the well-being of its animal inhabitants while minimising environmental impact and operating costs. The mice are housed in meticulously controlled environments, where temperature, humidity, and light cycles are standardised to ensure optimal conditions for breeding. This not only ensures the well-being of the animals but also contributes to the reliability and reproducibility of research outcomes.
Advanced Monitoring Systems:
Central to the facility is its sophisticated Building Maintenance System, which tirelessly monitors conditions 24/7. This system goes beyond basic oversight, offering pinpoint accuracy in identifying equipment failures and potential issues within the facility’s systems. This level of vigilance ensures that any anomalies are swiftly addressed, maintaining a controlled environment.
Looking Ahead:
As ABR continues to support the medical research community, its commitment to a cutting-edge facility remains high. The integration of advanced technologies and systems ensures that the facility remains at the forefront of scientific progress. By providing a secure, controlled, and reliable environment, ABR’s contribution to advancements in medical research is not only significant but also poised to shape the future landscape.
The Australian BioResources facility stands as a centre of excellence in the world of medical research. Through its commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation, ABR is not just a facility; it’s a cornerstone in the foundation of scientific progress.
